Miss Betty Nuttal, at the first international Anglo-French women’s tennis tourney, at Eastbourne, beat Madame Vaussard, 6 —3, 7 —5; and, with Mrs. Godfree, beat Madame Mathieu and Mademoiselle Deve 6—2, 6J2. England is leading by six matches to nil. Tn the doubles Tilden and Hunter beat Croles Rees and Eames, 6—4, 6—3, 7—5. AMERICANS BEAT ENGLAND. Received June 19, 5.5 p.m. London, June 19. In lawn tfcnnis at Manchester, Ameri'A beat Britain by five matches to nil. Tilden beat Higgs 6 —4, 6—3, 6—2; Hunter beat Greig 6—l, 7 —5, 6—B, B—6. At the Anglo-French tennis international, Alademoiselle Deve beat Betty Nuthall 6—4, 6—-2. Miss Nuthall played well, but Mademoiselle Deve placed the ball magnificently.
