POLLS IN OTHER CENTRES. SOME NOTABLE CHANGES. Further results of the polling in the municipal elections on Wednesday are as follow. Wellington.—The councillors returned were: T. C. A. Hislop, 11,554; W. J. Gaudin, 11,478; G. Mitchell, 11.474; W. H. Bennett, 11,292; R. Semple, 11,254; M. M. F. Luekie, 10,918; H. A. R. Huggins, 10,593; J. Caughley, 10,548; R. W. McVilly, 10,407; F. Meadowcroft, 10,267; J. Burns, 10,437, H. D. Bennett, 10,318; R. McKeen, 10,171; B. G. H. Burn, 10,033; J. Aston, 9709. The Hospital Board polls resulted in the return of H. Van Staveren, C. M. Luke, F. Castle, Annie McVicar, W. Appleton, J . G. Pretherick, F. Bennett, Janet Fraser, Jane K. Preston, D. Campbell, J. H. Helliwell, H. A. Parkinson, Margaret 'Semple, T. 11. Gill. On the Mayoral election the figures are unchanged. The proposal that Wellington rates be levied wholly on the unimproved values was carried by 8334 votes to 4262. Auckland.—All retiring members of the Auckland City Council were re-elect-ed, except Mr. A, Thompson. There are six new members, including Miss Basten. There are three Labour members, compared with two in the last council. The Auckland Harbour Board election resulted in the success of Messrs. Bloodworth, Hutchinson, Inder and Johnson. For the Auckland Hospital Board the retiring members were re-elected, except Mr. W. A. Thompson, who was replaced by Mr. M. J. Savage, MJP. Otahuhu.—Mr. R. B. Todd was reelected Mayor.

Hamilton. —Mr. J. R. Fow was returned as Mayor, polling 1429 votes to C. J. Barton’s 1138. Levin—Mr. Hobson was re-elected Mayor. Otaki. —The Mayor, Mr. Brandon, was re-elected. Gisborne—The council election resulted iff the return of H. E. Maude, W. Cave, J. Blair, W. J. McGibbon, F. Collin, J. W. Holmes, G. B. Smith, T. Todd and R. J. Kerridge. No Labour candidates were elected. The Harbour Board election resulted in the return of the four old members, 'Messrs. Armstrong, Smith, Mirfield and Todd. The Hospital Board members elected were: Messrs. Coleman, Shenratt, Bayliss, Craig and Mrs. Scott. There is a possibility of the Hospital Board election being nullified owing tq a defect in the voting papers. Waimate. —Mr. George Dash, the sitting Mayor, with 538 votes, defeated Mr. William Evans, who received 422. 1

IFeilding. —In the municipal elections Mr. Fair was elected Mayor unopposed. The only feature of tKe Borough Council elections was that the unofficial Labour candidate was bottom of the poll. On the half-holiday question the electors decided to revert to Wednesday, the voting being: Wednesday 969, Saturday 321.

Dannevirke—Mr. J. C. Runeiman was elected Mayor unopposed.
