DESTRUCTION BY FIRE
PICTURE THEATRE BURNED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wairoa, April 7. Everybody’s Theatre, a large wooden building on the North Clyde aide of the town was burned to -the ground early this morning. The theatre was used for pictures and a dance hall by E. Munro. A card tournament wqs held last night, but everything appe.Q-ed safe when the caretaker locked up shortly before midnight. The fire had a good hold, and the building was doomed when the brigade arrived. Nothing was saved. Fortunately there was no wind, otherwise a large*block of buildings would have gone. The building was owned by Maloney’s estate. The insurances weres Building, in the New Zealand Company, £750; cinema plant, engines, dynamo, films, etc., £350 in the New Zealand Office; £9OO in the Guardian, and £9OO in the State Office.
