Under a judgment summons Joseph Mansor was ordered to pay William Lawn £42 2s forthwith, in default 30 days’ imprisonment. E. G. Faiwasser, who did not appear, was ordered to pay L. A. Bosworth £5 3s forthwith, in default five days’ imprisonment. W. D. Parkes appeared concerning a debt of £5 2s owing to J. S. Church, of Opunake. He was now a erane-driver at Moturoa, he said, and his family was comprised of eight children, five of whom were at school. He was paying 30s a week rent out of an average weekly earning of £5 ss. He had made an offer of 10s down and 3s 6d weekly, but had received no reply. An order was made for payment of the full amount, in default five days’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as payment was made in the terms of Parkes’ offer. No elder was made against H. Pryor, bricklayer, of Inglewood, regarding a judgment obtained in December for £5l 16s 2d. He had a family of young children, he said, and other debts were owing. Since December he had not earned £5O. No order was made against W. Mathews in favour of K. C. Stanton. W, Kisby, who did not appear, was ordered to pay A. George £2 4 s 6d forthwith, in default two days’ imprisonment.
