THE AOTEAROA DIOCESE. UNANIMOUS OPINION OF R2CE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Rotorua, March 2. At a meeting held yesterday at Ohinetnutu under the chairmanship of the Commissary of the dioeese of Aotearoa, Rev. F. A. Bennett, attended by delegates of the Maori Synod of Aotearoa, lhe following resolution was passed:— “This conference, having before it the opinions expressed by high dignitaries on rh-o-eh law. reaffirm the resolution that was passed at the conference held at A.illmgtou on August 6, 1920, that the members of the conference, while divided in opinion as to whether the appointment of a pakeha or a Maori as fit st bishop of Aotearoa would be the Wisest course, nevertheless recognise that in the unanimous Opinion of the Maori people, a member of the Maori race should be appointed to that high office.” The Hen.
