PROFESSOR'S PROPHESY VIOLENT ’QUAKES PREDICTED. "EXTREMELY AGITATED YEAR.” By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Jan. 7, 5.5 p.m. Rome, Jan. 6. Professor Bendandi, the noted seismologist, prophesies that the present year will be noted for great earth paroxysms, which will scatter death and destruction in the most distant parts of the world. “About January 13 there will be a series of violent earthquakes in Europe, Asia and Polynesia,” he says. “In February the seismic fever will be more intense and it will seem as if the earth is trembling. Central America will be violently shaken and, with the advance of spring, the shocks will be felt in Europe. “There will be violent earth commotions and volcanic eruption in the summer in Japan, and by July, seismic forces will be in full activity in Southern Europe. Western Mexico and California. The year will be extremely agitated in all continents.”
