PRESIDENT FLOUTED
ADVICE DISREGARDED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received Jan. 7, 8.30 p.m. Washington, Jan. 7. President Coolidge was flouted in the House of Representatives when a coalition of Republicans and Democrats passed an amendment to the Naval Bill appropriating 200,000 dollars for the construction of dirigibles, which will ultimately cost 4,000,000 dollars. The President’s Budget message had advised that there should be a halt in the construction of dirigibles.
