NEARLY HUMAN
A TALKING MONKEY. London, Dec. 29. A monkey, said to be the first that lias been taught to talk, has arrived at Madrid, en route to Hamburg. It accompanies Frau Goldenberg, a German naturalist who found the monkey in the Cameroon#. She declares that the animal understands and pronounces a number of words in the African dialect. Tlie monkey is a female and wears a bodice, skirt and spectacles.
