MR. BRUCE IN CANADA

Mr. Bruce staled at th© Canadian Club at Hamilton to-day, that unless Canada developed great trade connections in other directions, she would become commercially and industrially more closely linked with the United States and as the result would find her national aspirations inevitably undermined. Canada sDould look to Britain in the east and Australia in the west for expansion of trade and industrial relations more than to the United States. Received Jan. 6, 5.5 p.m. Ottawa, Jan. 5. Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Bruce went to the Niagara Fails and inspected tho power plant and, upon their return to Hamilton, proceeded to Chicago.
