■The foillowing Government weather forecast was issued at 4 p.m. to-day :—Present Indications are for variable winds, but moderate to Strong southerlies prevailing, and changing to easterlies northwards of New Plymouth and Napier and to northerfles shortly elsewhere. The weather will bo fair and warmer generally, but clouding ovr In many parts. Scattered rainfall is probable in tihe northern and east coast districts of the North Island. The barometer will be falling everywhere after about 24 hours.
