FLAG OF SOUTH AFRICA
BILL RECEIVED WITH DISMAt, By Telegraph—Preu Asm.—Copyright London, Jan. S. The Capetown correspondent of Tho Times says General Hertzog’a Flag Bill has been received jvith dismay and surprise. It seems that he has reverted to his old failing and is reacting to the last strong personality with whom he has been in contact. Now it is Mr. Cresswell, who has persuaded him that resistance will eease if it is confronted with a parliamentary majority. There is not the faintest possibility of the South African Party accepting the farcical idea of the Royal Standard, which suggests an attempt to involve His Majesty in tho local flag squabble. General Hertzog has never realised the spontaneity ami depth of the attachment of English South Africans to the Union Jack
