INGLEWOOD BEAT STRATFORD. By a margin of 12 points, Inglewood defeated Stratford in a central division field match, played at. Inglewood yesterday afternoon. This match should have been played earlier in the first round, but for various reasons was postponed until a mutually suitable date. Details of the match are as follows (members of the Inglewood team being mentioned first): — Johnstone, Egarr, Whyte, Longbottom (u) 30; v. McElroy, Martin, Allen, Amos (s) 21. Henry, Manly, Olsen, Sutherland (s) 26; v. Thompson, Patterson, G. Smart, Hulbert (s) 26. W. Smith, Lindsay, Freeman, Mulholland (s) 24; v. Leech, Peters, Walters, W. McDonald (s) 28. Codd, Maetzig, Allen, Spurdie (s) 23; v. Lindop, Butcher, Davis, Srogley (s) 16. Totals: Inglewood 103, Stratford 91. A colts’ match was also played, the details being: Kendrick, Wanklin, Lamb, Blake (s) 11 v. Fastier, Olliver, Lefthand, Somerfield (s) 29.
