The Progress is due at Wellington to-day 1 from Dargaville and sails the same day for Dunedin to again load for the Waikato, via , New Plymouth and the usual southern ports. (Holm and Co.) The John arrives at Wellington on Friday next from Wanganui, and leaves for Lyttelton the same day to load for New Plymouth, via the usual ports. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line steamer Port Bowen was to leave Auckland yesterday for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete unloading cargo from West of England ports. Subsequently she will load’ for England at Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington. New Plymouth, Waikokopu and Napier, sailing finally from the last-mentioned port about February 4. She is due at New Plymouth about January 18. WAIOTAPU LEAVES SAN FRANCISCO. The Union Company’s trans-Pacific steamer Waiotapu, with cargo from Pacific Co.ast ports, sailed from San Francisco last Tuesday for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth, , L; ttelton, Dunedin and. Melbourne. She is due at Auckland about January 25. MATAKANA DUE ON FRIDAY. She returns north at about 8 o’clock to-night and is then due at New Plymouth again early on Friday morning. SCHOONER YACHT FISHERMAN. An arrival/ at Auckland on Friday morning was Mr. Zane Grey's auxiliary schooner yacht Fisherman. She was formerly named the Marshal Foch and was built at Ward's Brook, Nova Scotia, in 1919. She has been fitted with twin 60 h.p. Fairbank-Morse oil engines, capable of driving her at seven knots in fine weather. On her three masts she can carry a large expanse of sail, which is generally used when conditions are favourable. During the voyage from America she was not driven and took 45 days to Auckland. The yacht will remain at Auckland until joined by the owner about January 19. , Afterwards Zane Grey and his party will cruise round New Zealand swordfishing. Mr. B.
