DEATH IN DEVIL’S POOL
DROWNING AT INVERCARGILL. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Dec. 28. At the inquest to-day on Leslie Mark Riddell, aged 10 years, who was drowned in the Waihopai River on Sunday, a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned. A rider was added that it be a recommendation to the Invercargill Corporation Co prohibit bathing in that part of the river flowing through the scenic reserves, as there have been too many drowning fatalities in the Devil’s Pool.
