WEDDING.

A wedding was solemnised on Thursday. December 23, at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. New Plymouth, the contracting parties being Helen, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Dunlop, of Springburn. to Alexander Stevenson, third son of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Kirkland, also of Springburn. Glasgow. The. Rev. J. D. Wilson officiated and Miss M. Coleman presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by Mr. W. Johnston. looked <h..rming in an exquisite frock of white ge-rgette. The beautiful veil of tulle
was held in place with a cirelet
orange blossom. She carried a beautiful bouquet of pink roses and maidenhair fern. Miss Flora Kirkland, sister of the bridegroom, acted as bridesmaid, and wore a dainty dress of figured silk. She also carried a sweet posie of pink roses. Mr. A. W. Scott, of New Plymouth, carried■ cut the duties of best man. After the ceremony the guests were received by Mrs. W. Johnston, at the Devonport Flats, where a very enjoyable breakfast was partaken of. After the usual toasts had been honoured the bridal couple left by ear for their future home.
