FIRE ON THE RIMUTAKA
CARGO CONSIDERABLY DAMAGED. By Telegraph—Preu Assn. —Copyright. Received Dec. 14, 5.5 p.m. London, Dec. 13. The Rimniaka has arrived. After the extinction of a fire in the forward chamber between decks it was found that personal effects and eases of meat were burnt, and these were jettisoned. The eargo of wool, gum, copra, casein and Glaxo in No. 1 hold were partly damaged, while steam had affected the shel-ter-deck cargo. The authorities condemned a quantity of meat which had been damaged in No. 1 lower hold.
