BUTTER PRICES ADVANCE
INCREASE IN THE CITIES. By Telegraph.—Pre > Allocation. Auckland, Dec. 13. An advance of a penny in the price of butter in the local market takes place to-day, making Auckland prices Is 4ld superfine brands; 1s 4d, first - grades; Is 3d, second quality. A similar advance in Wellington brings the price there to Is 6d. superfine. The London parity, at 176 s per ewt., is equal to Is 4.1)1d lb f.0.b., so that, after allowing for distribution costs, the Wellington price is approximately equal to the London value, while that tn Auckland is about lid lower.
