UNIVERSITY “RAGGING”
CONDITIONS AT OXFORD. London, Dec. 1. “There is an ever-growing danger that the universities will soon be considered useful institutions for the propagation of support for hooligans,” says the Oxford University journal, Isis, in scathingly attacking the recent raggings and the riot in a train. “It is time that this senseless tradition ceased. The Socialists have a strong case against idle youngsters not making better use of their time than smashing others’ property, actions which would land less privileged persons into conflict with the police.”
