DAIRY PRODUCE PRICES. CONTROL BOARD'S CABLE. Wellington, Last Night. The New Zealand Dairy Produce Control Board has received the following cable from its London office dated December 10: Butter. —New Zealand ,finest, 1765; first grade, 1745; stored, 164 s to 1665. The market is firm but quiet at the advanced prices. Australian, 166 s to 170 s; stored, 154 s to 1645. Canadian, 164 s to 1665. Argentine, 156 s to 160 s. Dutch, 192 s to 1945. Siberian, 150 s to 1545. Danish, 190 s to 1925. Retail prices are unchanged. The German market is advancing, but in the meantime is confined to the lower grades of colonial butter. The French market is improving, the principal demand being for unsalted butter. Cheese.—New Zealand finest, 965; first grade, 955, white and coloured. Canadian, finest, 95s to 98s; first grade, 90s to 945. The market is steady but slow. Retail prices are unchanged. The Farmers’ Co-op. have received the following report from their London agents: “Butter market firm, good inquiry for New Zealand at 170 s to 1765; Australian, 166 s to 170 s; Argentine, 144 s to 1565. When the wool sales resumed there was good general competition at late rates for superfine wools. Burry, heavy and doubtful wools were irregular and at times difficult of sale, but all other descriptions ruled firm at the closing levels of the previous sales. Greasy merino sold to 32Jd.
