AMERICAN ATHLETES
PROPOSED TOUR ABANDONED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Dee. 8. The question of the proposed tour of American athletes through New Zealand during the present season has been definitely knocked on the head by the decision reached by the council of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association last evening. It considered that the right type of athlete is not available, and it would only court disaster to proceed with the arrangements in view of the restriction by the fc reign relations committee of the American Amateur Union of overseas tours to 21 days.
