CHILDREN AT THE COURT.
(To the Editor.) Sir.—l think all concerned should be ashamed at the want of consideration given to the children who had to attend the Supreme Court to-day. They were kept hanging about the Court from 10.30 a.m. till about 1 p.m. before they were called before the Grand Jury. They were then told to return at 2 p.m., and then told to appear again the next day at 2.15. Apart from the undesirableness of young children being about any Court a little common sense might have suggested that the case the children were concerned in be taken immediately the court opened and endeavour to limit their attendance to one days, and in a much more private manner.—I am, etc., “PARENT.”
