MYSTERIOUS SHOOTING
PROFESSOR’S HOUSE ATTACKED.

Professor W. A. Hewine, who is well known in connection with economic subjects. was sitting with his wife in the dining room of their house in Chester Square when a revolver was fired at the house. The bullet was deflected by the iron railing and went through the kitchen window in the basement. •
The professor rusliqd to the front door and saw a woman disappearing. He says that they have no enemies so far as they know, though his wife heard firing in the Square during the night a week ago. The police insist upon protection being - provided by night and day.
