OLD BOYS FOOTBALL CLUB
SUCCESFUL ANNUAL DANCE. Almost more people than the Kawaroa Park bungalow could comfortably accommodate attended the annual dance of the New Plymouth High School Old Boys’ Football Club last night. The hall was picturesquely decorated with an overhead cauopy in primrose and gold sweeping away from the central apex to the four corners of the ball. Primrose mantled lights produced a pleasing effect on the animated scene, and outside the hall a ’tween dances retreat had been constructed' with tarpaulins that did much to break the force of the unpleasant westerly gale blowing in from the sea. Free and artistic use of punga fronds gave a realistic Pacific Island touch to the appearance outside the hall. The organisation of the dance left nothing to be desired, and the committee arc to be congratulated on a most successful function.
