BUSINESS STAFF RE-UNION.
DEPARTING MEMBERS HONOURED.
(From Our Own Reporter.) Hawera, Last Night.
About 150 people gathered at a re-union of the staff of the Farmers’ Co-operative Organisation Society held here to-night, advantage being taken of tbe occasion to bid farewell officially to Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Nichol and Mr. W. A. Brown. The function took the form of a dinner followed by the honouring of a lengthy toast list, Mr. A. Hunter occupying the chair. The speakers referred in glowing terms to the business ability and personal popularity of the chief guests of the evening, and on behalf of the rest of the staff Master C. E. Morton, the junior in the Stratford office, presented Mr. and Mrs. Nieholl with a pewter tea service and pewter tray, suitably inscribed. Mr. Brown was presented by Mr. F. Perry with a handsome leather suit case.
