TARANAKI VERSUS WANGANUI

Enthusiasts are promised an exciting afternoon on Saturday when there will be two representative matches at Eltham at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. At 2 p.m. the Wanganui ladies’ representatives will meet the Taranaki- ladies' representatives, when a fast and exciting game should result, as these teams have not met this season, and this is Taranaki’s first game. At 3 p.m. the Wanganui men’s representatives will bully off with the Taranaki men’s representatives, when there will be thrills galore, as Wanganui will be out to try °to reverse the defeat suffered by them at Taranaki’s hands earlier in the season. The Taranaki ladies will be selected from the following:—Misses Burrows, Death, Hill, Wilson, Nutting, Hunt, Evans, Walker, McChiggage, Huston, Townsend, Griffin and Quin. The Taranaki men’s representatives will be as follows:—Goal, Bennett (Eltham); backs, Des Forges (New Plymouth), Davies (Eltham); halves, Thomson (Eltham), Page (Eltham), Betts (Kaponga); forwards, Bennie (Kaponga), Harding • (Kaponga), Free (Kaponga), Lambie (Eltham)) C.
