DISTRICT NEWS.
TARATA. (From Our Own CoriespouJent.) A euchre party and dance was held in the Tarata. Hall on the 27th inet. The night being fine a fair crowd assembled. The winners of the euchre prizes were: Ladies, Mrs. Hugget, with U games; gentlemen, Mr. A. Bishell, with 8J games. The floor was then cleared for dancing. Mr. J. Burgees and Mr. A. Elliot supplied good music, while Mr, D. Paterson made an efficient M.O. During the evening a fowl was competed . for, Miss E. Higgins being the winner The euchre parties are now going ahead. It is to be hoped a large crowd will come to the next. Mrs. Muir, who has been spending a holiday in Auckland, has returned. Miss Graham, of New Plymouth, is staying with her Bister, IMrs. Smee. Mrs. Hugget, of New Plymouth, spentpart of last week with her people in Tarata. , Mrs, Waite, who has been spending a few days with her daughter at Hawera, has returned home, We are all sorry to hear Mr. J. Hirst Is not enjoying good health, and wo wish him a speedy recovery.
