DAMAGE TO ASTEAMER.
HARBOUR BOARD LIABLE. By Telegraph.—Press Association Auckland, Sept. 1. Tlie Union Company's steamer Knitangata was recently damaged by a bolt projectng from the wharf, admitting water to a hold containing flour. The Harbour Board's solicitor advised that the board was liable, and the chairman authorised the salvage and sale of the (lour, which realised £l7 10s per .ton. The board approved of tw . chairman’s action.
