TO WHITEN A SALLOW SKIN.

A sallow skin is not a very pleasant sight, but with patience and careful treatment it can be improved. Sometimes sallowness is caused by ill-health, and when the health improves the skin regains its usual colour. Sometimes, however, it is merely a matter of the colour of the skin. Sallow skins are usually dry and inclined to wrinkle, so a.skin food is necessary. The following can easily be made at home. Heat half a cupful of milk.to blood heat, pour it into a basin, and add a teaspqonful of glycerine and a quarter of a teaspoonful of 'borax. Stir it will. After washing the face at night in warm water and a good super-fatted soap, dry the face carefully, and then dab it over with cotton-wool soaked in the milk-.lotion.
