AUCKLAND UNEMPLOYED.

DEMONSTRATION IN CITY. By Telegraph.—Press Association Auckland, May 6. About 300 men, some of whom were not unemployed, gathered at the Labour Department’s office this morning. A m'an on a lorry, addressing the crowd, said that they wanted work and called on the 'unemployed to fall in for a march through Queen Street to the Civic Square. About 50 responded. There will be a further demonstration in Civic Square after a deputation to the Mayor.
