WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. HAY DEFEATS LOVERIDGE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. Artie Hay (Hastings) to-night gained the verdict in a professional welter championship contest with Dick Loveridge (New Plymouth). The fight went the full fifteen rounds and Hay won all the way.
