DROWNED IN A CREEK.

DEATH AT OPUNAKE. The body of James Higgins, a Wellknown resident of Opunake, was found about eight o’clock yesterday morning lying face downwards in the creek that crosses King, Street near the Presbyterian Church, It is assumed that Higgins injured himself in falling, as the banks of the stream are about eight feet high, and there is only a foot of water at the bottom, Apparently the body had been in the water some time. Higgins was about thirty years of age.
