ALLEGATIONS OF BRIBERY. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Adelaide, May 5. Sensational allegations were made before the Royal Commission inquiring into the alleged bribing of members of the police force. A bookmaker witness stated that he had bribed 100 policemen, his weekly expenditure for bribes being £6, and sometimes ran to £l2. He had previously, with other bookmakers, contributed money to a man who acted as go-between for securing immunity from the police.
