WELLINGTON WAR MEMORIAL
A SYMBOLIC MONUMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The question of the erection of a campanile and carillon as the Wellington citizens’ war memorial was considered at a meeting of the committee held this evening. A representative attendance decided to proceed forthwith with tho original proposal to erect a silent, symbolical memorial on the Parliamentary grounds site. The conditions regarding a competition for competitive designs will be announced in the immediate future.
