INTER-CLUB MATCH. NEW PLYMOUTH V. ELTHAM. WIN FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. During the week-end a team from the Eltham Club journeyed to New Plymouth and played a match with the New Plymouth Club. The course, especially the greens, was in splendid order, and though there was a slight drizzle the conditions were good. Interest was attached to the appearance of the New Zealand amateur champion, Leo Quin, the Eltham captain. He and his brother, J. Quin, played G. M. Chong and F. E. SATURDAY’S MATCH. J. B. Wilson, with the fine score of 81—8—73, won the senior medal competition at Waiwakaiho on Saturday, while J. D. Willis, with 103—24—79, was the best of the juniors. LADIES’ PLAY. To-morrow at the Waiwakaiho links the first round of a ladies’ eclectic match will be played, players to choose their partners. The match will be continued on the following Tuesday, when the second round will be played, the same partnerships to be retained.
