AUSTRALIANS AT WIMBLEDON. ANDERSON KEEPING IN FORM. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrigtit. Received June 19, 5.5 p.m. London, June 18. Anderson is keeping fit by practising at Wimbledon. To-day he beat Lycetc 9—4, 6—2; and partnering Lycett in the dqubles beat the Italian Demorpurgo and the Hungarian Kehrling. Anderson expressed the opinion that the draw is not unsatisfactory. The Australian women have struck the easier half, and writh luck one might •reach the semi-final. ENGLAND v. AMERICA. Received June 19. 9.30 p.m. London, June 18. At Eastbourne England won three matches against America’s two. Hennessey beat Wheatley 7 —5, 6—-2, 4—6, 7—5, and Gilbert beat Casey 9—7, 9— l> &—3. PLAY TN ENGLAND. London, June 18. At lawn tennis Lycett and Fry defeated Utz and Boyd 6—2, 4 —6, 9—7, Misses McKane and Harvey defeated Misses Harper and Akhurst 6—2, 6—4. MID-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP. Honolulu, June 18. Snodgrass won the Mid-Pacific tennis singles, defeating William Hoogs, of Honolulu.
