DEATHS CAUSED BY HEAT. HOTTEST JUNE FOR 80 YEARS LONDON EATS IGE CREAMBy Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received June 12, 7.8 p.m. London, June 11. London is sweltering, the temperature being 84 degrees in the shade, which is the hottest June in eighty years. The heat extends throughout the whole of Europe. There have been many seizures and deaths in steaming cities. There have been numerous deaths from heat, and 113 cases of collapse in London streets have been reported. Work in the iron and steel furnaces in tb4 Midlands is seriously affected. London is eating 200,000 gallons of ice cream daily.
