RAID ON BANDITS.
BANK SAFES BLOWN OPEN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—-Copyright. New York, Dec. 21. A reward of £5OOO is offered for the capture of Otto Star, leader of a gang of desperadoes. On Friday the gang raided the small town of Valley View, 50 miles north of Fort Worth. They arrived before daylight in three motor cars, bound the town’s single policeman, blew open the safes of two bank/?, and then started a fire which destroyed nine buildings. The citizens helplessly watched the gang depart shooting and firing a fusillade as they traversed the streets with their booty of £40,000. The loss caused by the fire they started is estimateu at £30,000.
