CHILDREN’S DAY' ARRANGED. CHRISTMAS EVE ATTRACTIONS. (From Our Own Reporter.) Eltham, Dec. 22. Christmas Eve is always associated in the minds of children with Santa Claus, and the bringing of Christmas gifts, and for several years past the children of Eltham and the surrounding districts have had good cause to associate their visit to Eltham ou Christmas Eve with Santa Claus. Thanks to the good offices of the Progress League, Santa Claus has visited Eltham each Christmas Eve for several years past and. presented the children with gifts. This year is to be no exception, and on Wednesday the children of Eltham and the surrounding districts are invited to ibe present to welcome Father Christmas when ho arrives about 1.30 p.m. with his sleigh load of Christmas gifts. After he has been formally welcomed by the Mayor (Mr. G. W. Tayler), Mr. O. Hawken, M.P.» and Sir Walter Carncross, M.L.C., Father Christmas will distribute gifts among the children, each of whom will have the pleasure of being personally presented to Father Christmas to re- 1 ceive from his hands a Christmas present.
