ARREST AT MANAIA A YOUNG MAN CHARGED. '£l2 INVOLVED. B—. ■ ■■■a A>l >- (From Our Own Reporter.) Hawera, Dec. 20. Charges of breaking and entering the residence of Mr. Nairn, a school master, of Manaia, and stealing £42 in cash, were alleged against a young man named Garnet John Clarke, a pupil teacher at the Manaia School, who was arrested this morning by Constable J. Scannell and •brought 'before Messrs A. H. Christie and A. Muggeridge, J.P.’s, at the Manaia Court.
On the application of the police a remand was granted until Monday morning.
