THE INDEPENDENCE ISSUE. By Telegraph.— Press Aten.—Copyright. Received Dec. 20, 5.5 p.m. Manila. Dec. 19. The League of Nations is forwarding instructions to the Philippine Labour Bureau regarding the membership of the latter in the League Labour Division. It is reported that the suggestion of the League officials for the Philippines to become an American mandate under the League has been favourably received by Filipino politicians, who state that they will attempt to bring the independence issue eventually before the League.
