POPE AND COMMUNISM.
DANGERS SHOULD BE FOUGHT. Bj’ Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rome, Dee. IS. The Pope, speaking at a secret consistory, referring to the attitude of the Holy See towards Russia, e.xihorted all, especially men in power who love peace and the sanctity of the human family and human dignity, to make every effort to fight the grave dangers and certain injuries arising out of Socialism and Communism, but this must not affect our dutiful solicitude of elevating the conditions of workers and all humble people. The Pope urged the faithful all the world over to join in prayers during the holy year in order that God should enlighten men in power in this regard.
