SPORTING AND DRAMATIC.
This week’s issue of the New Zealand Sporting and Dramatic Review is abundantly featured with topical illustrations from all sources. Of special interest are the photographs depiedag the arrival and welcome in Wellington of the new Governor-General and family, the function at Parliament Buildings, being particularly attractive. The Waipa Racing Club’s meeting at Te Awaniutu will attract the attention of sporting patrons, and the All Blacks match at Manchester will be closely followed by football enthusiasts. The centre pages artistically display bathing beauties, mannequins, baseball and cowboy champions. A page of striking fashions, a frontispiece of Gladys Moncrieff, Miss Hook of Holland (by Blenheim amateurs), social, stage and motion pictures make up a delightful display that will appeal to all. The Wellington College Jubilee celebrations are given prominent space, and in a wide selection of miscellaneous pictures appear Hu liter ville Pipe Band. Napier (rirls’ hockey team, visit of Island chiefs to Auckland, competitions at Hawera, Dominion Bowling Council, Wellington Salvation Army Band, Auckland bowlers and numerous English happenings of up-to-date interest. The Review is on sale at all booksellers and stationery.
