ACCIDENT ON RAILWAY.
TWO SURFACEMEN INJURED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Dec. 16. Two railway c,urfacemen were seriously injured yesterday as the result of an accident on the Riinutaka line. Niel Peter Holbeck, aged 30. married, and Charles Jordan, aged 28. single, were descending a hill on a liand-prdpelled jigger and. when rounding a sharp bend, they collided with a goods train, being thrown heavily. Holbeck injured his ribs and spine and Jordan has one leg broken and his head aud ribs are also injured.
