Continuing their second innings, the visitors ran up 218 (Norris 40. McDonald 47, Gallachan 30, Pacey 27, Spring 38 not out). Beath took five wickets for 29 and Hickiing four for 58.

Requiring 173 to win, Napier failed to rise to the occasion, being all dismissed in little over an hour for 85 (Beauth 27, Reaney 19). Gallachan took six wickets for 43 and McDonald three for nine. The match between the Englishmen and an Australian juniors team concluded to-day in fine weather and on a good wicket. England in the first inpings lost five wickets for 319 and declared the innings closed. Hobbs made 114, Sutcliffe 68, Hendren 54 and Sandham 31 not out. The juniors in their second innings lost seven wickets for 93 (M. A. Noble 41 not out). The match was drawn.
