BOYS FROM ENGLAND.
PUPILS FOR HIGH SCHOOL. SEVEN STARTING NEXT YEAR. The New Plymouth High School Board has received advice from the Undersecretary for Immigration (Mr. H. D. Thomson) stating that he had received the following cable from the High Commissioner for New Zealand (Sir James Alien): —•Tmn.igraVon: Public school boys. Please inform New Plymouth High School only six boys will be taking special course. All proceeding per lonic January 8.” Mr. Thomson’s communication ;?l>o stated that another boy named J. S. Leach had arrived by the Ruahine and would lie ready to enter the High School when it re-opens in February.
The board, at a meeting held some months ago, decided to admit up to 20 English boys if accommodation was available.
