WARSHIP WRECKED
HEAVY LOSS OF LIFE. FIFTY-TWO OF CREW DEAD. FORTY-FOUR MISSING. DISASTER OFF JAPAN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Tokio, Dec. 14. The special service vessel Kwanto grounded off Tsuruga- during a blizzard, was broken up by heavy seas, and sank. She carried a complement of 150, of
whom 56, including the captain, were tf_ken off by a warship. It is believed 40 landed on the coast. Eight bodies have been recovered. The fate of the remainder is at present
unknown. Jwo destroyers are standing * *by, but rescue work is greatly hampered by the rough seas. Received Dec. 16, 1.20 a.m. Tokio, Dec. 15. The Kwanto carried 207, of whom 111 were saved. Fifty-tw„o dead bodies have been recovered and forty-four are still Blissing.
