The Daily Chronicle says Sir Harf Singh's English secretary has returned to India after a special visit to London for the. purpose of explaining th® Rajah’s viewpoint. It is understood h® told the authorities that although the Rajah would have liked to assist the Public Prosecutor in the< proceedings instituted he felt it would be too much to expect him to come to London to undergo the ordeal of cross-examination in a criminal court. Consequently, the authorities have abandoned the idea of calling the Rajah as a witness, but the proceedings will continue.
