BOWLING.
TAR IKI CLUB. OPENING CEREMONY. The Tariki Bowling Club’s new green was officially opened on Thursday in very unfavourable wealther conditions, representative rinks from the Stratford, Avon and Inglewood. Clubs being present. The opening ceremony was performed by Air. R. Alasters, ALP., and during a short interval, in which the almost incessant rain eased off, a president v. vioe-ipresident's game was started. A few heads were played, in which the president’s supporters obtained a lead, when afternoon tea, which had been provided by the ladies, was announced. After this the rain prevented all further play.
