BiG WOOL RECEIPTS. Sydney, Sept. 25. Sixty thousand bales of wool worth £2,060,000 were sold at the first series of sales which finished yesterday. LOAN FOR AUCKLAND. Received Sept. 25, 7.55 p.m. London, Sept. 24. The Dally Chronicle’s financial correspondent understands that arrangements have been made to issue a City of Auckland loan of £400,000 at 5 per cent, at 97%, redeemable in 1957. NEWTON KING, LTD. REPORT. At Waiwakaiho yesterday we had a fair yarding of all classes of cattle and report a good sale. Quotations: —Crossbred yearling heifers, 36 s, 27 s, 235; 2-year empty Jersey heifers, £3 10s; young store cows, 35s to £2 10s; forward conditioned cows up to £3 12s: cover cows, 25s to £2 10s; small yearling steers, 335; Jersey springing heifers, £8 to £9 10s; 3-year Jersey cross heifers to £10; 2-year Jersey cross do., £6 to £8 10s; small a nd poor conditioned heifers, £4 to £5 10s; dairy cows to £lO 15s. MARKET REPORT. The New Zealand Farmers' Co-Operative Organisation Society of New Zealand, Limited, report:—At Manaia on Tuesday, September 23, we report a good yarding, everything being sold at very satisfactory prices to the vendors. Dairy heifers met with a ready sale. We quote fat cows, £5 7s 6d to £7 2s 6d; forward cows, £3 10s to £4 15s; works and boner cows at late rates; very good quality dairy heifers to £l4 ss; good, £ll to £112: others, £8 to £l2; backward sorts, £6 to £7 10s; guaranteed cows, £8 to £lO 10s; yearling heifers to £3 4s; others, £2 7s to £ 216 s; small, £ 1 8s to £'l 19s.
