GREAT PROBLEMS TO SOLVE. TRIBUTE TO THE PIONEERS. Durban. Sept. 3. The Australian and New Zealand members of Parliament visiting South Africa have left the other delegations, and gone on a three days’ tour of Zuhiland. Senator Givens (Australia) referred to the South Africans as next-door neighbours of the Australians. He paid a tribute to the pioneers of both countries, and expressed the hope that under the Southern Croes dominions would be built up which would be worthy of them. Sir John Luke, M.P., for many years Mayor of Wellington, urged that provision should be made against the time when the gold mines would be unproductive. “God knows, and we know, that you have problems to solve,” he said.
